Smithfield Foods announces VP of investor relations, communications
Smithfield Foods, Inc., has announced the promotion of Keira L. Lombardo to the position of vice president of investor relations and corporate communications. Lombardo most recently served as director of investor relations and corporate communications for the company.
“Keira has been an integral part of our team for nearly ten years. Her experience and knowledge of the company and our strategy has positioned her as a strong communicator to the investment community and has enabled her to provide a deeper understanding to our shareholders of the new focus and strength of Smithfield as a consumer packaged meats company. Her promotion recognizes her outstanding performance and important role in the future of Smithfield Foods,” said C. Larry Pope, president and chief executive officer.
Lombardo joined Smithfield Foods in 2002 and has worked in several capacities for the company in corporate finance, investor relations and corporate communications.
