Dr Michael T. Mendl is a professor of animal behaviour and welfare at Bristol Veterinary School in the UK. He did his PhD at the University of Cambridge in behavioural development. In addition to teaching and supervising graduate students, Mendl currently leads the BBSRC-UFAW Animal Welfare Research Network.
