Stuart Lumb has been writing for Pig Progress for many years, in fact since the time Misset Pigs was on the go. After graduating from Leeds University with an Honours degree in Animal Production he spent a year at the Danish Swine Research Centre in Copenhagen. This was followed by a move to the USA where he gained a MS in Animal Science at Michigan State University. Before taking up a career as a freelance journalist he spent 25 years as a lecturer at Bishop Burton College, East Yorkshire where he also managed the College 300 sow unit. He now travels widely reporting on the pig industry worldwide.
