(1979) studied Animal Sciences at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. During her studies she did internships in Canada and Australia among others. However, trained as an animal scientist, she took the opportunity to combine both her agricultural background with her passion for writing and media. Since 2002, she has worked for a variety of publishing companies with a strong focus on international agricultural publications. In 2003, she took up a position at Reed Business Information, initially as editorial assistant for the magazine Pig Progress, but since 2005 as editor of Feed Mix and co-editor of Feed Tech (in 2010 merged to All About Feed magazine). From 2014 until mid-2019, Emmy was the editor of All About Feed and was also responsible for the brand Dairy Global (launched in 2014); which focuses on innovative dairy farmers around the world. Currently she works at Connecterra.
