Large pig farm to be built in central Siberia

The Siberian Agrarian Group will construct a large pig farm with the feed mill in the Nizhnetavdinskoye area of the Tumen region , central Siberia, said the company.

The general director of  Siberian Agrarian Group, Andrew Tyutyushev, the build is commissioned for completion in 2016.



“Construction will take approximately over 2.5 years. We plan to start building in May 2014. The planning production capacity is 24 thousand tonnes of meat in live weight per year. The farm will be designed for a number of 120,000 pig stock. The construction of the feed mill is also planned, which will cover the needs of the farm. Investments are expected to reach 4.5-5 billion rubles (US$150-170m). Most of the funds (80%) we plan to receive from the bank ,” he said.



The Siberian Agrarian Group in recent years has built two pig farms – in the Sverdlovsk region and the Republic of Buryatia. At present, the company is carrying out the construction of a similar facility in the Krasnoyarsk region, with the total investment cost of – 5.8-6 billion rubles (US$190-200m) and the designed for the capacity of approximately 27 thousand tonnes of meat per year.
