The food we eat is the very foundation of our being, supplying us energy, sustenance and nutrition.

We all assume that the food we are eating is safe and free from any unwanted toxins. The same should be true for animals. Mitigating mycotoxins is a huge global challenge with no universal solution. Developments need to happen from all sides of the supply chain; a safe harvest, safe storage and animals prepared to safely deal with mycotoxin exposure. Here the latest breakthroughs across these areas are explored, be it results from an EU-wide mycotoxin project covering several bases, to exploring alternative feed sources or the increasing role of technology in securing a better harvest and eventually, safe feed.

The WMF and the new sister show, WMFmeetsAsia being held in Bangkok in January, address the important developments, initiatives and solutions with the common goal of leading to safer feed and high performing animals

Need for events like World Mycotoxin Forum

Those working in the field of livestock mycotoxicology are ensuring that the risks to feed are minimised and safeguard the animals from exposure to contaminated feed. Progress does not stand still in this field, as the need for events like the World Mycotoxin Forum (WMF) show. The WMF and the new sister show, WMFmeetsAsia being held in Bangkok in January, address the important developments, initiatives and solutions with the common goal of leading to safer feed and high performing animals. Misset looks forward to seeing you at either of these events.
