VDL Agrotech improves pig feed transport chain quality
Dutch livestock equipment manufacturer VDL Agrotech has launched a novel type of feed transport chain.
The chains have been developed for the company’s VDL500 en VDL600 tube feeding systems – and include©a novel©disc design. The disc reduces resistance and allows longer system lengths. In addition, the shape and choice of these nylon discs reduce wearing.
In comparison to conventional products,©the new©system has a 50% stronger disc to chain fixation. Moreover, the©chain’s surface©is hardened©for optimum performance.
Last but not least, less feed is being unnecessarily transported around – and feed is better released due to©larger openings©in the discs.
