Smithfield appoints new int’l operations manager
Smithfield Fields Inc. has announced the appointment of Robert W. Manly IV to manage its international operations.
In his role as executive vice president, Manly (54) will be responsible for operations in Poland, Romania and the UK. In addition, he will manage the Smithfield Groupe’s joint ventures in Europe, Mexico and China and its interest in the Spanish company Campofrio.
His new role will also encompass responsibility for both pig production and meat processing.
