Siamese pig twins in China

The birth of a two-headed pig in China is being hailed as a miraculous conception by farmers.

The animal, born at January 15, saw its first light in the village of Quanzhou in East China’s Fujian province. The new-born animal weighs 1.5 kilogrammes and has two mouths and four eyes.

The pig, presented at the Metro website, is widely seen as a symbol of fertility in the country. Since the current year is the Chinese Year of the Pig, the animal is thought to be a blessing. Officially, the Year of the Pig commences at February 18.
