The Singapore’s Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority recently accredited Matutum after the company complied with Singapore government requirements, Bureau of Animal Industry Director Davinio Catbagan said.
The requirements include, among others, assurance that the pork is free from veterinary drug residues. The Department of Agriculture did not disclose the intended volume of pork exports.
The department will inaugurate this month a P50-million meat inspection laboratory in Polomolok. Subscribe here to the free Pig Progress newsletter
