APL announces new R&I General Manager
In a press release issued today, Australian Pork Limited (APL) has announced the appointment of Dr Darryl D’Souza as General Manager, Research & Innovation.
Dr D’Souza, has occupied management roles for a number of Australian pig industry organisations – most recently with Alltech Biotechnology as Asia-Pacific Technical Manager (Pigs).
Commenting on his new role, Dr D’Souza said that he is looking forward to the new challenge with APL. “I am eager to contribute to the future of the Australian pig industry, which is burdened by many issues in the current climate”.
One of his first key projects will be the establishment of six APL Specialist Groups of technical experts who will concentrate on pursuing and assisting APL to achieve its objectives.
He commenced employment at APL on November 19 and replaced former General Manager R&I, Dr Geoffrey Annison.
