Porcine Circovirus vaccines – where are we?

Porcine Circovirus 2 (PCV2) was first isolated in 1997. Now, over a decade later, four vaccines against the viral disease have been developed. Overall, these offer an excellent opportunity to control PCV2 associated diseases and the distressing effects they have had on pig production – all in their own ways.
