EuroTier postponed until February 2021

EuroTier, the world’s largest international animal production show, will be postponed until February 2021 due to Covid-19. The show was supposed to take place at 17-20 November of this year, in Germany.

The organising German Agricultural Society (DLG) revealed in a press release that the new dates will be 9-12 February next year, which means a postponement of about 3 months. The venue for EuroTier, which also encompasses EnergyDecentral, will still be the fairgrounds in Hannover.

Not possible to organise EuroTier

The organisers wrote: “In view of the continuing uncertainty surrounding the overall international situation in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, DLG cannot foresee that it will be possible to conduct EuroTier and EnergyDecentral as leading international trade fairs in a form that is appropriate for exhibitors and visitors this year.”

Careful decision

The DLG wrote that the decision to postpone the event “was taken in close coordination with both of the trade fairs’ expert advisory boards and in the interest of exhibitors and visitors”. Their international nature – in terms of both exhibitors and visitors – is precisely what makes the event the global meeting point for experts and decision-makers, DLG wrote.

The DLG stated it hopes that postponing the event will ensure that the show will live up to its reputation as the leading international trade fair, and will also provide maximum opportunity for planning and preparation for exhibitors and visitors.

Hi, I am an engineer by profession though I have a passion for piggery. Currently, I keep about 40 pigs on my farm in Kenya. I am also a British/Kenyan citizen.
Very much interested to learn more about pigs. Please if you do not mind, can I be getting some information on this matter? I am also keen to attend The EuroTier animal show in Germany next year in February.
I will appreciate your cooperation. Thank you.
