Innov’Space: Climate control CO2 sensor

Traditional ventilation systems control a building’s climate based solely on air temperature and humidity.

The CO2 Sensor has been developed to take account of the oxygen consumed and CO2 produced by fattening pigs and broiler poultry, parameters that vary depending on their weight and activity.

These are important elements of animal welfare and energy consumption (heating and ventilation).

Using the threshold values for carbon dioxide stated in standard DIN18910-1 (2004), minimum levels of air evacuated can be calculated based on the animals’ age and weight.

The aim of the CO2 Sensor is to provide an environment in conformity with the needs of the animals and to reduce energy costs.
