Miratorg increased pork production by 7.2%

Agro industrial holding Miratorg, in the first half of 2011, increased the rate of total pork production to 73.7 thousand tonnes up to 7.2% compared with the level of the same period of the last year.

 The growth is presented due to the planned launch of the second stage of the pig complex “Safonovsky” with full production capacity. Also the second phase of a new platform has been launched at the pork complex “Kalinowski,” stated the company.

Miratorg sales for the first six months have increased 18.5% to 146 thousand tonnes in volume. 

Miratorg’s net income in the first six months of 2011 increased by 23.3% compared to the same period of last year and was estimated at $ 1.9 billion, the representatives of company added. The company’s revenue in the first half of 2011 amounted to 18.17 billion rubles ($559.7), which is 20.2% more than in the same period of last year. 

 
The credit portfolio also grew since the beginning of the year by 4%. It was also reported that in 2010 Miratorg’s net profit amounted to 3.1 billion rubles ($95.5 mln), while revenue was 34.4 billion ($1.05 bln). In addition, the production of finished products in industrial packaging increased by 7%, while in consumer packaging it increased nearly 3.5 times.
