New European base for MTech Systems

25-02-2011 | |

A new joint venture business with MTech Systems Incorporated, the US-based provider of leading software for poultry, pig and animal feed industries, is aimed at developing sales through Europe and other markets outside North and South America.

MTech Systems has reached agreement with Jim Johnston and Steve Parsons to form a UK-based company named MTech Systems Europe Ltd.

In addition to providing software, the company will utilise its experienced consulting resources to help with integrated producers develop business and enterprise strategy, improve operational performance and manage capital projects throughout the supply chain.

Simon Cohen, senior vice president, MTech Systems USA, states: “I am delighted to welcome Jim and Steve to our MTech team. They are two internationally experienced and well recognised figures in the industry and they bring a wealth of skills to our business.

“We are excited about adding the consulting service to our offering as I feel this now gives our clients the ability to plan the supply chain, measure performance and costs, and derive enhanced benefits from our software systems.”

Jim Johnston comments: “There is a very good fit with MTech — I have known the company and indeed operated with their software. This new business will allow us to support the client base with consulting services at board room level and throughout their businesses, providing practical solutions from our team of experienced specialist resources.”

Steve Parsons stressed the importance of accurate, timely information in running successful organisations. “MTech Systems has a strong software package with a proven international record of success,” he says. “Our new business aims to build on this success and support clients to utilise the information to enhance the bottom line”.
