Leading bio-security specialist to exhibit at EuroTier 2008

25-09-2008 | |

Anitox, a world leader in developing and supplying solutions for safer feed and food, will be exhibiting in partnership with EFS Netherlands, its distributor for The Netherlands and Germany, at EuroTier in Hannover from 11 – 14 November. The company’s exhibit (Hall 15, Stand B11) will focus on the company’s main products, including its new Maxi-Mil® program and Termin-8®.

Maxi-Mil, a unique program which makes milling more efficient, will benefit even the most modern feed mills by optimising the efficiency of the pelleting process and increasing output, whilst reducing process losses and energy consumption. The program also improves pellet quality, reduces the requirement for binders, lowers equipment maintenance costs and optimises the shelf life of feed. Trials conducted with feed manufacturers on four continents produced average improvements of 71.1% in the retention of added moisture, 8.0% in press throughput and 2.9% in quality, with average reductions of 12.8% in energy consumption and 35.7% in press consumable costs. Customers using Maxi-Mil also report improvements in animal performance.

Termin-8 is a liquid anti-microbial bactericide which kills salmonella, reduces mold and lowers total bacterial levels in feeds and feed ingredients. The product keeps working in the feed for at least 28 days, helping to prevent re-infection with salmonella, E.Coli and Clostridia. Demand for Termin-8 is escalating rapidly because increasing legislation and rising energy costs are forcing feed manufacturers to focus on implementing viable, cost-effective alternatives to heat-treatment to reduce the risk of Salmonella infection. In addition to the high capital investment and operating costs, the increasingly unacceptable carbon footprint associated with heat-treatment systems is forcing them to investigate more efficient, cost-effective and ‘greener’ alternatives.

Specialising in bio-security and milling efficiency solutions for the animal feed industry, Anitox is a successful, expanding company with over 30 years experience in bacteriological/mold control in feeds and feed materials. Since its acquisition by leading private equity investor The Riverside Company in 2007 Anitox, which supplies many of the world’s Top 25 feed manufacturers, has dedicated further, significant resources to developing an exciting stream of innovative products and customised solutions.

As part of a worldwide development program, Anitox is actively seeking to appoint additional Distributors or Agents for its products and services For further information, please call +44 (0)1604 811228 or email maria.walker@anitox.co.uk
