TOPIGS to deliver sows to South Africa

During March, April and May 2008, TOPIGS South Africa delivered 105 A−line nucleus sows and 850 TOPIGS 40 F1 gilts on an upgraded, cleaned and disinfected grower facility of Freys Food Brand in the KwaZulu−Natal (KZN) Midlands.

This is the start of a multiplication agreement between TOPIGS South Africa and Freys Agriculture, which will enable Freys to multiply its own TOPIGS 40s and to supply the KZN commercial pig farmers with F1s to ensure that the Freys pork processing plant gets the preferred carcass characteristics to satisfy their customers’ specific needs.
