The outbreak was notified at a farm in Sardinata, in the
department Norte de Santander, in the beginning of July - and confirmed to the
World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) yesterday. Six pigs, and even a
larger group of cattle were affected with Foot-and-Mouth Disease
Stamping out and
destruction of all animals on the farm are being prepared.
