Royal honour for retiring Topigs director
Retiring Pigture Group director Jan van Vugt has been appointed Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau. Van Vugt received the Dutch Royal honour during the annual general meeting of Coöperatie Pigture Group in Ede, The Netherlands.
The honour is in recognition of Van Vugt’s services to the Dutch pig breeding industry. Under his leadership, since 1986, the Pigture Group has developed both nationally and internationally into a powerful pig breeding organisation that leads the way in innovation.
Pigture Group is the parent company of TOPIGS, Varkens K.I. Noord Brabant, and AIM Worldwide. In addition to this some 20 foreign subsidiaries and joint ventures are part of the Pigture Group.
