Norway increases pig production
Statistics Norway has reported that in 2007, 297,000
tonnes pf meat from domestic animals was approved for the market, which is an
increase of 4,000 tonnes from 2006.
Pork accounted for 40 % o the total amount of meat produced, while poultry
accounted for 24% of the total and beef made up 29%.
When compared to 2006 figures, the quantity of pork and poultry increased,
while the quantity of beef and mutton declined.
