Ontario pork’s fate to be announced Monday
The Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission – has made a decision on the fate of Ontario’s Pork board. On Monday – the commission has called a news conference to release that data.
Stakeholders will only be told about the decision immediately ahead of that news conference – planned for Monday afternoon in Guelph.
The decision comes after 4 long days of hearings over the summer with a number of the largest pork producers in the province pushing for the single desk-selling powers of the board to be removed, while Ontario Pork pled to have the ability to keep those powers.
