Glanbia considers meat management buy-out
Ireland's food group Glanbia announced last week that
it has entered negotiations that may lead to a management buyout of its meats
business which employs 850 people at four facilities and at pig farms in
Ireland.
The management buy-out team is led by chief executive Jim Hanley, who has
teamed up with three other senior managers - operations manager Niall Leydon,
human resources chief Michael Slevin and Andy Fleming, the finance and strategy
manager.
The company has stated that this development is in line with its objective to
focus on key growth areas such as cheese, food ingredients, nutrition and
selected consumer foods.
