Costs in Dutch pork chain clarified by consumer euro
Researchers have calculated the cost distribution in the Dutch pork supply
chain and concluded that the producer finally earns only 6% of the market price
of fresh pork. This represents a huge gap between the off farm and retail price.
Not only the supermarkets are responsible for this, as many often believe.
