IDT Biologika announces free Shigatoxin check service

German company IDT Biologika has set up a website that provides information on Shigatoxin-producing E. coli, and of offering a free diagnostic Shigatoxin-check service.

Veterinary surgeons and farmers can use the Shigatoxin-check (STEC-check) in their herds using the new website, www.shigatoxin.de (in German).

Diseases such as oedema disease, caused by Shigatoxin-producing E. coli, can cause substantial damage to the agricultural sector. Apart from animal losses, reduced feeding and expensive medical treatment can contribute to losses between €30-90/sow per year.

IDT Biologika will present at EuroTier (Hall 12, stand A54).
