Increase in German pork spending
Private consumption of meat has slightly increased in 2007 in Germany. Up
until the end of August 2007, demand for pork was up 1.6% in comparison to the
figure this time last year.
On average, pork was somewhat cheaper in September 2007 than in 2006. Only
prices for poultry have increased dramatically by 13%. Sausage meat has also
increased pricewise slightly.
