People: President of The Maschhoffs announced
The Maschhoffs, LLC, the largest independent pork producer in the US headquartered in Carlyle, IL, announced that it has named Mark Greenwood as president.
Known worldwide as a swine industry leader and advocate, Greenwood leaves his position as senior vice president of relationship management at AgStar Financial Services, ACA, based in Mankato, Minn.
“We couldn’t be more pleased by the addition of Mark to our team. His deep industry expertise and strategic agility – alone – make him an excellent fit for our business,” said Jason Logsdon, CEO of Maschhoff Family Foods.
“But it’s the additional personal qualities, like his outstanding ability to build and lead teams as well as a fit with our culture that will help us realise our future growth plans and vision. It’s a truly winning combination for us.” Greenwood was born and raised on a hog farm in southern Minnesota and has worked in the swine industry for his entire business career.
Further, the Minnesota native has earned a world-class reputation by sharing his knowledge and experience at industry conferences throughout the United States, Europe, South America and Canada. He was named one of the National Hog Farmer’s Visionaries of the US Pork Industry in 2005.
“Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to have formed tremendous relationships with industry leaders, clients, and partners. I’m looking forward to bringing that same experience to my new role leading The Maschhoffs and working with their employees, network of pork production partners and customers,” said Greenwood.
In addition to his farm and professional experience, Greenwood earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and minor in economics from Mankato State University. The president role was created and filled on an interim basis when Maschhoff Family Foods created a multi- business-unit structure, following the acquisition of GNP Company in December of 2013.
