AMI Worker Safety Awards deadline approaching

Applicants may complete both parts of the evaluation in a single session or take multiple sessions. Those who participated in last year’s award program also have  the option of entering just the past year’s injury and illness data or entering the past year’s data plus revised data for any or all prior years.

 

The safety awards will be presented during the AMI Foundation’s 2011 Conference on Worker Safety, Human Resources and the Environment on March 9, 2011, in Kansas City, Missouri. For more information on the conference, go to www.meatami.com/education.

 

The various levels of awards that may be earned are based on an evaluation of each eligible plant’s actual safety performance as well as its implementation of various key components of an effective safety and health program as measured by the safety program questionnaire.
