'Inno-Feed' successful on pig farms
Coppens animal nutrition in Helmond, the Netherlands has
improved its production process for pig and poultry feed. The feed produced with
the new technique, named 'Inno-Feed' already showed promising results in
fattening pigs.
Trials at experimental farms in cooperation with the Animal Sciences Group
in Wageningen and Schothorst Feed Research showed an increased growth, improved
skin health and better manure in pigs. It was also shown that the pigs have
better intestinal health and a lower feed conversion rate. The feed was also
tested at some farms.
In July and September, Coppens will introduce a new piglet and sow feed.
Also the new fibre rich poultry feed will be launched in September this year.
