VIV Asia 2007: more pig visitors

VIV Asia 2007, held 7-9 March in Bangkok, Thailand, attracted relatively more visitors from pig industry than two years ago.

In figures, released today by organising VNU presentations, the percentage of pig vistors grew from 52% in 2005 to 65% in 2007.


Total number


The total number of visitors to VIV Asia amounted to 21,726 – slightly less than two years ago, when approximately 23,000 visitors paid a visit to the show in Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC).


The visitors came from 92 countries around the globe – compared to 87% in 2005. The most remarkable growth in visitor numbers came from The Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.


Exhibitors


Altogether 518 exhibitors from 37 countries displayed their latest and most innovative products.


The two-day VIV Asia Conference attracted 2,720 top level industry representatives.


According to organisers VNU Exhibitions, the visitor rating grew from 6.6 in 2005 to 7.9 in 2007. The VIV Asia Conference was valued at 7.8. Exhibitors rated the show with a 7.6 compared to 6.8 in 2005.
