New pork advertising campaign by BPEX

A new campaign by the British Pig Executive (BPEX) targets readers of UK women's magazines and newspapers.

Adverts for Quality Standard Mark pork (QSM) can be seen in a wide range of printed media in the month of February and next and will be backed up by an extensive PR campaign, worth almost €750,000.

BPEX consumer marketing manager Chris Lamb said, "We are taking space in magazines such as OK and Hello and weekend supplements such as the Mail on Sunday to raise the profile of the Quality Standard Mark and our 'Love QSM Pork' message.

Mothers with children

"The campaign will reach about two thirds of our target audience which is mothers with children and they should see it at least four times," Lamb added.

"The PR campaign involves competitions in major newspapers which include the chance to get a full set of pork recipe booklets as well as other prizes."

Healthy, tasty and convenient

The campaign has been developed to enable the promotion of QSM pork as not only healthy but tasty and convenient too.

Health is an increasingly important factor in meal choices and it has grown significantly in the last ten years.

More info on QSM pork can be found at the Look For The Mark website.
