Olmix receives award at Livestock Asia
French feed additive producer, Olmix, has been awarded the prize of ‘Best New Product’ for its product MTox plus at the 4th Livestock Asia show.
The show, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 23-25, attracted 250 exhibitors and 6,000 trade professionals representing farmers, meat processors, food importers, feed millers and retailers among others.
Mycotoxins in feed
MTox plus is a natural solution for mycotoxins in feed. The product is the result of 3 years research involving the National Research Institute of France, the Seaweed Centre and National chemical engineering school in Mulhouse and it is now available in Asia, with a local partner in Malaysia through Progress Agriculture & Farming.
Mycotoxins are a group of various secondary metabolites produced by fungi that occur in raw materials – grain. Pigs are quite sensitive to mycotoxins. Effects of high levels of mycotoxins are varied – for example, vomiting, reduced feed intake, lower fertility rates, and increasing vet costs for the pig farmers.
