Developments in feed evaluation systems

Nutritional values of feedstuffs are not static quantities. They vary between varieties, years and regions. They also vary over time, as genetic improvements are made in crop breeding, but also as our quantitative knowledge of pig digestion and metabolism improves. Matching feed to pig requirements has always been the goal of ration formulation, but the level of precision with which we achieve this is always evolving.
