N.D. (Nan-Dirk) Mulder joined Rabobank International’s Food & Agribusiness Advisory and Research department (FAR) in 2001. He is a senior animal protein industry specialist with a special focus on the poultry industry.
Nan-Dirk graduated in agricultural economics, marketing and market research
from the Wageningen Agricultural University in 1996. Before his appointment at
Rabobank International, Nan-Dirk worked for the Product Boards for Livestock,
Meat and Eggs (PVE) and the Agricultural Economic Research Institute (LEI) in
the Netherlands. Nan-Dirk has experience in advising companies on strategic
issues for the PVE (in animal protein) and for LEI (in fresh produce).
Furthermore he was member of the Dutch delegation to the European Commission in
management committees and expert committees for animal protein.
Since his appointment at Rabobank International, Nan-Dirk has been involved
in many of the bank’s advisory and research activities in the animal protein
sector. He regularly writes Rabobank publications about the trends and
developments in the poultry industry and represents Rabobank in global poultry
meetings and congresses.
As a senior sector specialist he advises the Rabobank organisation on the
commitments of Rabobank in the animal protein industry. He is also involved in
advisory projects for major animal protein industry companies and has
accumulated in-depth knowledge about the key issues in animal protein such as
global trade, internationalisation, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain
management, marketing and agricultural politics. He has participated in project
on all continents of the world.
