From October 21-23, the first edition of the Figap / VIV América Latina tradeshow took place in Guadalajara, Mexico. Started as a tradeshow for the feed manufacturing and feed ingredients business, the show has now turned into a comprehensive event for the feed and animal production business. Flashback from the show floor.

Figap / VIV America Latina is a joint effort between Figap from Mexico and VNU Exhibitions from the Netherlands.
The show took place in the exhibition centre of Guadalajara in Mexico.
According to show director Patrizia Jazo Altamirano at the opening ceremony, the cooperation with VNU has resulted in a show with truly an international exposure, with exhibitors coming from 20 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Officials, including show director Patrizia Jazo Altamirano and VNU director International Exhibitions Gerard Leeuwenburgh, officially opened the show with the ribbon cut.
The new show focused on Spanish speaking Latin American countries. Just over 4,000 visitors attended Figap / VIV.
Specialised exhibitors were on display, such as equipment supplier Tigsa from Spain.
Animal health company Boehringer Ingelheim is playing a strong role on the Mexican market, among which with their vaccines for the pig business.
At the show there were country pavilions from China, France, Spain and the Netherlands (shown here). Also there were two US state participants from Illinois an Iowa.
A large number of exhibitors came from China, such as feed additives supplier VTR.
At the end of a show day, it's a good tradition to organise happy hour, supported by typical Mexican music.
