The site format was created based on feedback from retailers who were looking for regular industry updates and ideas for supporting pork promotions.
Site highlights:
• Generic seasonal point-of-sale – The NPB designs seasonally appropriate point-of-sale materials. The merchandising kits include a meat case sign, recipe brochure and poster. All material is available as PDF.
• Industry information – Retailers looking for updates on the latest news in the industry can visit the site to stay informed.
• Research – Understanding consumer shopping habits, sales and volume trends, and creative merchandising opportunities is essential for effectively marketing at the meat case.
"Porkretail.org is a dynamic extension of what the National Pork Board currently offers retailers,” said Patrick Fleming, director of retail marketing for the NPB. "The site provides instant access to valuable tools and we see it a resource that transforms with the industry."
