Illinois celebrates national pork month

October is National Pork Month and Illinois pork
producers are celebrating their role in producing the world’s most popular meat
by giving away State Fair fresh pork gift packs to visitors of the redesigned
Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) web site.
"Visitors enjoyed pork in record numbers during the 2008 Illinois State
Fair at the IPPA Pork Patio," said Jim Kaitschuk, IPPA Executive
Director.
"This fall consumers can enjoy the delicious flavours of the IPPA Pork Patio by visiting www.ilpork.com in October and entering to win one of three 'State Fair' fresh pork gift packs and one grand prize 'Blue Ribbon' pork pack."
To register for an October Pork Month pork pack visit www.ilpork.com and click on the Its PORKalicious Baby link. Winners will be chosen October 10, 17 and 24.
