20 Oct 2008 - Progress Energy Carolinas and GreenCo Solutions, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly pursue new alternative energy projects designed to turn swine waste into electricity. The two companies will work together to identify and support swine waste-to-energy projects in Eastern North Carolina to serve the utility's customers and those of the state's electric cooperatives.
