National Pork Board to donate $1 million to center
14 Mar 2012 - The National Pork Board has agreed to donate $1 million to the proposed Fair Oaks Pig Adventure Center in Indiana with a second $1 million donation contingent on private fund-raising of $7.6 million.

Canada: Pig Producers can access more funding to help with costs
14 Mar 2012 - Increased funding under the Manure Management Financial Assistance Program (MMFAP) will help pig producers access more funding to help with the cost of installing manure-management and treatment systems, federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz and Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives Minister Ron Kostyshyn announced.

Boehringer Ingelheim: First Asian Veterinary R&D Centre in Shanghai
13 Mar 2012 - Boehringer Ingelheim announced the expansion of its Animal Health business in China. One of the major moves is the opening of the Asian Veterinary Research & Development (R&D) Centre in Zhangjiang, Shanghai. The firm is investing 12 million euros in the center which is the largest of its kind established by a multinational pharmaceutical company in China.

Pig farmers urged to step up defences against swine dysentery
12 Mar 2012 - BPEX are urging pig producers to be extra vigilant for symptoms of swine dysentery and step up defences after further cases of the disease have been reported across the North Yorkshire region.
