Tonga pigs fish for feed 04 Oct 2006

These animals tried to search for crabs, mussels, sea weed and fish during low tide. Generally speaking, the piglets stay close to the coastline but grown pigs are seen fishing with water floating as high as their shoulders.

 

It is thought that the herd are descending from the animals the seaman James Cook took on his journey around the year 1770.

 

Some of them are even supposed to be able to stay under the water surface for a couple of minutes.
