Outbreak Aujeszky's disease in Romania 28 Nov 2007

To-date 34 cases of the disease have been identified in swine, causing 23 'natural deaths'. A further 11 animals were killed. 53 pigs are currently still believed to be at risk.

The source is unknown. Measures applied include: vaccination in response to the outbreak, disinfection of the infected premises and quarantine.
