In March 2006, Russia banned imports of pigs and pork
from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, where an outbreak of CSF
had been
registered.
In April 2006, Russia partially lifted a ban it had
imposed on German poultry, but kept it in place for the region of
Saxony.
