By Rail
A number of special trains will be organised that will stop directly at the Exhibition Grounds. Details of these special trains will be published here as of September 2010.
A number of selected regional and supra-regional trains will make an extra stop at the Exhibition Grounds (Hanover/ Messe Laatzen). The “Skywalk”, a bridge with conveyor belt, takes you from the exhibition station Laatzen to Entrance West 1. Train times will be available as of September 2010 at the rail website www.bahn.de.

If you are travelling from Hanover Central Station, you can reach the Exhibition Grounds with the urban railway Line 8 and 18. The journey takes about 20 minutes. At the Central Station follow the blue signs with the letter “U”.
By Car
You can reach the Exhibition Grounds directly via the motorways A2, A7, A37 and A352.
The signposts at the Exhibition Expressway in Hanover will lead you to the car parks at the Exhibition Grounds.

Use of navigation systems:
If your navigation system does not accept “Messegelände” (Exhibition Grounds), please enter “Kronsbergstrasse” if you are driving in from the south, or “Hermesallee” if you are driving in from the north. You can also enter “Messe” under special destinations.
Environmental Emission Zone
In order to improve the air quality and reduce fine dust contamination levels, an increasing number of German cities – like Hanover – are introducing signposted official emission zones. Only vehicles carrying an official permit (disc-shaped sticker) are allowed to drive in these zones. The Exhibition Grounds are located outside Hanover’s emission zone. However, as of 1 January 2009 a yellow or green official permit is necessary to drive in large parts of the city.
