Product name: SonoCheckBig Dutchman Pig Equipment GmbH, Vechta, Germany, 12-E47c
Sonocheck is a completely newly developed, automated system for pregnancy examinations in sow group management in conjunction with Big-Dutchman demand feeding. Ultrasonic measurements are conducted while the sow is at the feeding station by moving an automated arm with a supersonic head to the sow. The system minimises the work time required for the pregnancy examination and reduces the stress burden for the animals. In addition, the ultrasonic scanner can be removed from the automatic guide to conduct manual ultrasonic examinations of the animals. Furthermore, the system can be changed from station to station, so that it is not necessary to procure separate equipment for each station. The automatic scanning does away with the need for manual ultrasonic scanning in the group and individual stands, thus contributing to occupational health and safety. It is also possible to save the hitherto necessary selection day for for pregnancy testing of the sows in group management. And finally, the images can be stored in 15 second sequences, be analysed by the herdsman independently of time and be transmitted via the internet to further experts in order to clarify questionable results.

The award-winning disinfectant is a dual-component preparation with which resistant stages of bacteria, micobacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites can be inactivated and/or killed in a single operation. The agents listed so far by the DVG (Deutsche Veterinärmedizinische Gesellschaft – German Veterinary Medical Society) only have bactericidal, fungicidal, or virucidal effects against parasite resistant stages. In addition, the DVG list contains preparations with an antiparasitic effect that have limited effectiveness against bacteria and/or viruses. The combination of an unrestricted bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal effective component with a second component that satisfies the performance criteria of the DVG represents a substantial improvement by covering a broader action spectrum. Applying such a broadly effective disinfectant makes it possible to save both costs and labour in practical farming.

The award-winning system serves to measure, monitor and document cleaning and disinfecting operations. It can be used on both a mobile and a stationary basis. The system represents an essential improvement in surveillance and documentation of cleaning and disinfecting operations. The combination of the individual components represents an innovative and substantial further development. Using the system makes it possible to optimise the deployment of disinfectants and water, resulting in cost savings too. The system also has a positive effect on the quality of cleaning and disinfecting and on work performance.

Product name: Nukleospray YoghurtSLOTEN GmbH, Diepholz, Germany, 15-E31
Nukleospray Yoghurt is a new kind of suckling piglet supplementary feed in a yoghurt structure. The nutrient composition of the feed supplement is designed similar to a milk replacer for piglets, but has a modified viscosity thanks to the addition of modified starches. This results in specific influences on acceptance and hence on feed uptake, as well as on digestive physiology (speed of passage, facilitating transition to solid feed uptake). The products represents an innovative solution by comparison with conventional milk replacer preparations.

Product name: BiocathLANDATA/COBIPORC, Saint-Gilles, France, 12-E45
The companies offer a 100% bio-degradable catheter for pig insemination corresponding to the EN 13432 Standard. These catheters represent innovations by comparison with the recyclable but non-compostable catheters available so far. Thanks to the 100% bio-degradability through composting, this is an ecologically expedient development.

Product name: Drei-Wege-Futterweiche – Three-way feed gateH.-J. Pennemann GmbH, Dörpen, Germany, 11-B31
This is a mechanised feed gate for distributing dry feed from the mixing container of a multiphase feeding system to three separate feeding circuits. This was previously only possible for two separate feeding circuits and thus represents a substantial further development. It helps to shorten the running time of the feed chains and/or achieve a higher feed throughput. The compact design saves space as there is no longer any need for a second machine.

Product name: Kontrolltür Maststall – Fattening house control doorH.-J. Pennemann GmbH, Dörpen, Germany, 11-B31
Where large pen gates for fattening pigs are difficult to move, this additional service door can be installed for easy opening with single-hand operation. This greatly facilitates entering the pens and thus increases monitoring frequency of large groups. It is no longer necessary to lift long gates or climb over pen partitions, which contributes to facilitating work and improving occupational health and safety.

Product name: Impex Flow RegulatorIMPEX BARNEVELD B.V., Barneveld, Netherlands, 11-D05
This is a flow regulator for pig drinker nipples that compensates pressure differences and pressure fluctuations and thus offers constant, needs-driven water volume at the nipple. The award-winning system is highly relevant in farming practice. It can be retrofitted on most drinker nipples available on the market without it being necessary to exchange the complete nipple. In addition, it minimises water losses.

Product name: Easy coverWitte Lastrup GmbH, Lastrup, Germany, 26-A34
The easy cover allows complete encapsulation of the guide pulleys of outdoor tubular conveyor systems. It prevents water infiltration and hygiene problems. Operational reliability is considerably enhanced. In addition the product provides better UV protection for the interior guide pulleys. A further advantage is the fact that the cover fits precisely for all systems and can thus be retrofitted on existing systems. The cover can be dismounted and remounted again quickly for maintenance purposes.

In the QuigTag method, location signets in the animal housing steer the software in the Smartphone and facilitate navigation in the software.
Not only are the animal ear tags read out via the smartphone, but also previously loaded location and action signets/symbols facilitate and accelerate program operation. Entries of actions in the animal housing via keys and touchscreen are reduced. Clear symbols steer data capture without any laborious menu guidance. This solution promises to facilitate mobile use of other programs too.
Simple and well-conceived approach to accelerate the recording of action data in the animal housing.

Product name: StablemasterHölscher + Leuschner, Emsbüren, Germany, 12-F49
Stallmaster is a central data pool for fattening-pig production keeping in which data from feeding, ventilation and slaughtering data evaluation are managed and analysed. To optimise process management the daily fattening data from feeding, ventilation and sorting gates are evaluated and warnings and sorting suggestions are generated. The automatic weight recording and slaughtering data evaluation optimises the best time for marketing using the respective slaughter mask. With the Stallmaster program, LH Agrartechnik presents an interesting system approach to automating process monitoring. Warning and intervention limits and analysis of the slaughter data help farm managers to optimise production and avoid losses.

Product name: Brand Power-Tauch-Jet Güllepumpe – Immersion jet slurry pumpBRAND Gülletechnik GmbH, Hilter – Eppendorf, Germany, 25-D22
The BRAND Power-Tauch-Jet is a combined agitator with pump function and two innovative agitator jet nozzles.
The slurry is drawn into the agitator housing through a specially shaped agitator impeller and flung out again through two rigid outlet orifices. The agitator jets created in this way form an angle of approx. 90°C and generate thrust to the floating cover in two directions. The first agitator jet is directed tangentially to the tank wall, moves the floating layer into a direction of rotation and detaches it from the tank wall. The second agitator jet is directed to the middle of the tank and cuts the floating layer.
By directing the agitator nozzles to the base of the tank it is possible to agitate the settling layers too. The time required for agitating is reduced distinctly and the energy demand thus lowered.
By engaging the agitator nozzles in a special foot part on the tank bottom, the agitator can be converted to a pump.
