Waldo Genetics Swine Industry Scholarship – applications open

Waldo Genetics has announced that they are now accepting applications for their annual swine industry scholarship.

The Waldo Genetics Swine Industry Scholarship is designed to recognize the efforts of students that have chosen the swine industry as their career. The scholarship is available to returning students enrolled in an accredited swine industry-related program.

“We are delighted to announce this scholarship again this year.” says Linda Gibbs, CEO. “The scholarship is designed to recognise the efforts of two students whose course studies, aptitude and interests will guide them to a career within the swine industry. We believe the future of the swine industry is bright because of today’s swine industry students that will become tomorrow’s swine industry innovators.”

Two scholarships are available to assist qualifying students with tuition. Each of two scholarships is valued at $1000. To qualify, students must:

•    be returning college students enrolled in an accredited Bachelor or Post Grad program in Agriculture or Animal Science with an emphasis on the swine industry

•    maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher (based on 4 point system). Provide copy of college transcript

•    submit two letters of reference (letters may be sent under separate cover)

•    submit their application postmarked by May 8, 2015
