South Korea: New FMD outbreaks continue to spread
Even though the government carried out vaccinations to pigs and cows in several provinces, the disease continues to spread across the country.
Vaccinations for the disease have already taken place in the Gyeonggi, North Chungcheong and Gangwon provinces.
Additional farms contract disease
According to the Ministry of Agriculture even more cases of FMD have been reported at pig farms in North Gyeongsang and Gangwon provinces plus a cattle farm in North Chungcheong Province.
The government decided to vaccinate all unaffected provinces in order to stop the disease from spreading any further.
