“The import of Danish pork should be conducted in accordance with the requirements for import to Ukraine of the state veterinary and sanitary control and surveillance,” said Interfax-Ukraine.

As reported by ForUm, Ukraine has banned the import of pigs from Denmark and Lithuania because of an outbreak of swine fever.
Currently, Denmark remains one the world's largest exporter of pork. The most important export markets for Danish pork are Japan, Britain and Germany, which accounted for 70% of total exports. In 2008, it's observed a significant increase in the supply of pork to the CEE countries. Only in Poland, pork exports grew by 2,5 times and reached 83.5 million tonnes.
