McDonald's stops pork from castrated piglets

In order to prevent the strong smell which can arise while cooking meat from
uncastrated animals, the pigs are sent to slaughter at a lower weight. This
unpleasant smell appears in around 10% of boars which weigh more than 85kg.
A round table conference is to be organised in Belgium at the beginning of
this year in order to investigate possible technical solutions for this problem.
