Chicago Meat Authority introduces new pork cut

The Chicago Meath Authority (CMA) has launched their new boneless, marinated pork cut called the Pork Flat Iron Steak.

The new cut was designed as a foodservice item and can be broiled, grilled, pan fried or prepared on a flat-top grill, according to CMA.

"The Pork Flat Iron Steak offers a low-portion cost compared to a USDA Choice beef steak," says Jim Carmignani, Chicago Meat Authority's regional sales manager.

The steaks are sold in 10-lb. boxes (4.5 kg), and are available in a variety of portion sizes with each cut individually vacuum packaged.
