Tulip abattoir workers protest against closure
Workers and their families staged a protest yesterday
outside a Norfolk (UK) meat processing factory because of the proposed loss of
more than 500 jobs.

announced that Tulip would close the site, which would end production of fresh
pork and bacon in Thetford. Danepak did not disclose any further information
about their plans, which caused frustration with T&G in their attempts to
discuss the closure.
